My running shoes died after three years of faithful service/abuse. I shouldn't really have been playing tennis in them.

Wasabi peas - more addictive than crack
This is a snack from Japan (we think). Big fat peas covered in wasabi batter and roasted. If you aren't familiar with it wasabi is japanese horseradish which is often strong enough to bring tears to your eyes. I don't know if it's the endorphine hit you get from the wasabi or the strange nutty flavour that they have, but once a tin of these is open it gets finished.

Having destroyed the only shoes I have to play tennis in I needed some new ones. Yes, I know they're blue and shiny, I don't care what you think, I like them.
Hmm. Very blue, very shiny, very David Beckham (if Beckham played tenning instead of football of course). I think I'd like the peas though; I'll look out for them here - I've seen that brand name around in a few shops here.
ReplyDeleteWatch out for the peas, they come in two sizes of tin. Don't buy the large one because you will finish it and they have a fairly predictable side effect if not taken in moderation...

OH, and I buy those wasabi peas all the time! YUM!
Er, I'll say yes and pretend that I did more than 500 miles in them - which I might have done, 3 years is a long time. There was a distinct hollow inside each shoe where my big toe went.
